In het onderwijs kennen we een aantal belangrijke dimensies zoals: wereldburgerschap, internationalisering, zelfstandigheid en verantwoordelijkheid. Deze dimensies zorgen voor het activeren van de bewustwording bij leerlingen dat zij verbonden zijn met de rest van de wereld en de rol die ze daarin vervullen.
Het is daarom ook niet voor niets dat “kennis aandragen die leerlingen nodig hebben om de wereld te kunnen begrijpen en eraan bij te dragen”, centraal staat in Onderwijs 2032.
Vreemdetalenonderwijs is de manier om deze dimensies te verbinden. Het spreken van dezelfde taal zorgt voor communicatie, begrip en bewust worden van verschillen. De competenties die aansluiten bij de 21st Century Skills worden gestimuleerd.
Onderstaande cursussen bieden vele mogelijkheden; van invoering en implementatie van vroeg vreemdetalenonderwijs, taalbeleid en didactiek tot vakoverstijgend onderwijs.
Education
There are several dimensions that are changing the way we should approach education, including themes such as world citizenship, internationalization, self-dependence, and responsibility. Students are increasingly becoming aware of the ways in which they are connected to the rest of the world and the role they play in it.
The Dutch Ministry for Education, Culture, and Science has made several recommendations as to how we can better prepare students for the future. In the Ministry’s Education 2032 platform, they state that we should, “bring knowledge which pupils need to better understand the world and to be able to make a contribution.”
Early Language education prepares students to engage in a global society through the development of 21st century skills. Sharing a common language allows for communication across cultures while also helping to cultivate an understanding of each other’s differences and commonalities.
